Reason of chaos and Deadlock

This is a note to myself, a pattern I’ve identified.

Whenever you feel more chaos, that means that you’re being so much distracted.

There are so many things around in your mind and life and you’ve been thinking about them at the same time.

Your focus and attention are being divided into too many things.

That’s the only reason behind the chaos.

Close your distraction gates. Don’t expose yourself to many things at the same time.

Say it to yourself: I’m gonna focus on this for the next 2 hours without any distraction.

Then do that, without an excuse.

Focus for long hours is the real skill to develop in this information age.

Not to just to get more done but also to maintain your mental sanity.

Before you go, one thing.

It’s hard to focus on one thing when your find is thinking about something else.

When it’s solving a different puzzle in the head.

Maybe there are so many questions that are going around, and it’s trying to get those answers.

  • How to do this? How to do that?
  • Which path to choose?
  • What to do and what not to do?
  • What will happen?
  • Is this gonna work?
  • What I’m aiming for?

So many questions. All come around under the umbrella of future planning.

A position in which neither you’re able to work on something nor able to plan too.

Why?

Because under the hood you know and believe that, it’s the time to put things in the right place, think about them a little and then go forward accordingly instead of taking blind action.

But the task of sitting down and then answering these questions is not an easy one, it requires a lot of mental energy. Sometimes, it becomes unbearable to hold it in the head.

And then out of frustration and to break down the mental exhaust, you sit down to do some task instead. As soon as you start working, the above questions start revolving again.

Result? Distraction and Frustration

Can you observe something here?

It’s a situation of deadlock.

Deadlock is a term in computer science in which no process does the execution because of their dependency on other processes. It forms the chain and no process does the job.

Here, also the condition is same. Result? Deadlock
